What this actually is

A directory of bars that are actually open, right now, in Pattaya. Bars come from map data (Google Places and OpenStreetMap), from owners adding their own bar, and from customers tipping us off about one we've missed — and every single one is checked by a person before it goes live, never pulled in and published with nobody real behind it. That's why you won't find bars here that closed two years ago, or duplicates of the same place under three different names.

How this gets your bar found on Google

Your bar gets its own page on this site. That page has your name, address, phone number and social links written on it for a visitor to read — but it's also written into the page a second time, in a labelled format made specifically for Google to read. So instead of Google guessing which bit of text on the page is your name and which bit is your address, it's told directly: this is the name, this is the address, this is the phone number. That labelled format is what people mean when they say "structured data", "schema" or "JSON-LD" — it's just your bar's real details, laid out so a search engine doesn't have to guess.

The page also carries a "breadcrumb" — Home > Find a bar > your bar's name — so Google understands where your page sits in the site, not just that it exists in isolation. And the full list of every currently-listed bar is handed to Google as one structured list too, so a newly-listed bar can get picked up quickly instead of waiting for a search engine to stumble across it on its own.

None of this needs you to do anything. It happens the moment your bar has a listing page — claimed or not.

Three ways a bar ends up listed

• We find it. Pulled from map data, then checked by a person for a recent sign of life (a review, a Facebook post) before it's added — not just "does a pin exist on a map". Free, and unclaimed until an owner claims it (see "Claiming" below).
• You sign it up yourself. Bar name, address, a pin on the map, and a photo — add your bar, completely free. We review it (usually within a day or two), and once approved it's live with the Verified badge, full editing and no ads on your photo slot from day one — see "What it costs" below for what happens if it doesn't check out.
• A customer recommends it. Someone who drinks there tells us about it at recommend a bar — no need for them to be the owner, or for you to do anything. Free, and unclaimed until you claim it.

Claiming your bar — what actually changes

If your bar is already listed (we found it, or a customer recommended it) but nobody's claimed it yet, claiming is what hands control of the page to you — same perks a fresh signup gets immediately, just via claim your bar instead:

• A Verified badge on your card and your page, so customers can tell it's the real owner keeping the details current, not a stale entry nobody's touched.
• Edit your own details, any time. Phone number, website, LINE ID, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat, YouTube — change any of it yourself at manage your listing, no waiting on us.
• Move your map pin exactly onto your door. Useful on a soi where two or three bars share almost the same street address — drag the pin yourself instead of living with an approximate one.
• A promo banner on your own page — a short line like "Happy hour 5–7pm, 2-for-1 buckets", change it whenever you like. See "Promos" below.
• No adverts on your page. Unclaimed bars carry a rotating ad/sponsor image in their photo slot — claiming your bar removes that, so it's just your bar's own photo and details.

Claiming is completely free — no fee, ever. You get full access the moment your claim is verified, and we review it afterwards.

Promos

Once you've claimed your bar, you can set a short promo line — up to 140 characters, something like "Happy hour 5–7pm, 2-for-1 buckets" — right from manage your listing. It shows as a banner on your bar's own page, and bars with an active promo can be filtered to directly on the search page, so someone looking for a deal right now sees yours instead of scrolling past it.

Check-ins — a live "busy now" signal

Claimed bars can get a printed QR sticker for the bar itself. A customer scans it with their own phone to say "I'm here" — no app, no account, nothing to download. Once enough people scan within a few hours, your bar picks up a 🔥 Busy now tag on the site, visible on the search page and your own listing. It's a live signal to someone scrolling nearby that your place actually has people in it right now, not just an address and a hope. It's a fun crowd indicator, not a booking system — and if it's not for you, tell us and we'll switch it off for your bar specifically.

If you also run a Hot Promo (see below), the same QR sticker can hand a scanning customer a live reward — 10% off, or extended happy hour — for as long as the boost is active.

Hot Promo — a paid 24-hour boost

A one-off paid 24-hour boost for a claimed bar — pay once, and for the next 24 hours your bar gets a 🔥 filter chip on the search page, a badge on your own tile, and your image goes into the site-wide ad rotation shown on every unclaimed bar too — not just your own page. Set it up any time from manage your listing; the exact price is shown before you pay.

While it's running, you can also switch on ONE reward for customers: 10% off their bill, or an extra hour of happy hour, during a daily time window you choose. A customer unlocks it by scanning your bar's existing check-in QR sticker (see "Check-ins" above) — no new sticker, no app, just show staff the confirmation screen. It's entirely optional, and switches off automatically the moment the 24 hours end.

What it costs

• Found by us, or recommended by a customer: free, always, and stays free until an owner claims it — it just carries a rotating ad on its photo slot until then.
• Claiming a bar we already listed, or signing your own brand-new bar up: completely free, either way — no fee, ever, no upgrade needed. If we reject a fresh signup as fake or spam, or an already-approved listing later turns out to be fraudulent, it's taken down.
• If a listing is later rejected (found to be fake, spam, or fraudulent): it's taken down entirely, not left up as a lesser tier — there's no subscription to cancel either way, since claiming and signing up are both free.
• Hot Promo — the 24-hour boost: the only thing that costs anything, ever. A one-off payment, entirely optional — the exact price is shown before you pay, and it doesn't renew on its own; buy it again whenever you want another boost.
